ITEM DESCRIPTION: FORM/FIT/FUNCTION: THIS BLADE INCLUDES IMPROVED INTERNAL COOLING FOR IMPROVED OXIDATION/EROSION CAPABILITYIN ORDER TO ACCOMPLISH THIS THE RETAINING PLATE MUST BE MODIFIED. SIZE: 24? X 5?. MATERIAL: TITANIUM ALLOY. APPLICABLE TO: F100-229 ENGINE. QUANTITY RANGE: 33 TO 63 EA. 64 TO 99 EA. DESTINATION: TINKER AFB, OK. DELIVERY: INCREMENTS OF 12 EACH BEGINNING ON OR BEFORE 30 SEPTEMBER 2006. Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. All responsible sources solicited may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 15 May 2006. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 13 June 2006. The solicitation will be available for download on the release date from www.fedbizops.gov. Data will be available for download on the release date from https://www.fedteds.gov/ No telephone requests. Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be sent from this office. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
