- VA VISN 22 Network Logistics Office intends to negotiate a commercial, sole source contract with NURSEWEEK, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-09. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is to provide commercially available, internet-based, continuing nursing education for staff personnel, to include testing on the provided education and electronic feedback to coordinating staff personnel. The resultant contract will support all VISN 22 VA Medical Centers and Clinics (Loma Linda, Long Beach, Las Vegas, Greater Los Angeles, and San Diego Healthcare Networks). The proposed contract action is services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All proposals received by 3:00 P.M. Pacific Daylight Time, May 5, 2006 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
