- The Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Office on Smoking and Health (OSH) intends to award under a Sole Source Basis, a Purchase Order to Science Application International Corporation (SAIC), San Diego, California, for the purchase of producing a consumer publication for the 2006 Surgeon General?s Report on Smoking and Health. The authority for this procurement is FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Firms that believe they can provide the required supplies are encouraged to identify themselves and provide written notification to this office within 15 days from the date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
