Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for scientific services for the Development of Mathematical Morphology Software for 3-Dimensional Structures. The purpose this requirement is to select an appropriate data representation and then extend the existing software capabilities to the more general class of all 3-D samples described within this representation. The specific tasks are described in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) that will be included in the solicitation and the period of performance shall be three (3) months from date of purchase order acceptance. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541690, and the size standard of $6.5 Million. The solicitation, solicitation amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement will only be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The solicitation is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about April 28, 2006. It will be conducted using FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Potential offers are requested to direct all questions via email to lisa.wells@nist.gov, telephone requests will not be honored. Questions for the solicitation must be received no later than seven (7) calendar days after issuance of the solicitation. Responses to questions received will be posted via amendment to the solicitation on or about May 12, 2006. To be eligible for award, offerors MUST be registered with the Central Contractor Registry: http://www.ccr.gov and have completed its representations and certifications found at http://orca.bpn.gov.
