Description

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency [U S EPA] Ecosystems Research Division [ERD] intends to award a fixed-price Purchase Order using Federal Acquisition Regulation [FAR] Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation number EP06L000116 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-09. (iv) This solicitation is being advertised on an unrestricted business size basis. Applicable NAICS code is 811219 and small business size standard is $6,500,000.00. (v) Description of requirements for the item to be acquired: Repair Contract for VG-Fisons Platform II LC/Mass Spectrometer The contract shall include the following: 1. On-site labor for repair of instrument components to get instrument back into operation. 2. One [1] service visit, to conduct the necessary repairs, including all travel costs included [airfare, car rental, mileage, meals, lodging]. 3. Parts and materials for instrument repair and maintenance up to $1,500.00 total. 4. All service must be scheduled with the point of contact in advance. 5. Any additional hours or parts must be approved by the Contracting Officer. Indicate hourly rate that will be charged for any additional hours. 6. Payment shall be in arrears. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE [RFQ] IS AVAILABLE. Vendor must provide Federal Tax Identification Number, Dun and Bradstreet Number, and Central Contractor Registration to be eligible for award. Any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA?s requirement as stated herein may submit a response which, if received by 8 May 2006 by 10: am, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. The estimated magnitude of this procurement is under $25,000. All questions should be directed to Rick Pittman via email at pittman.rick@epa.gov.
