Description

AMENDMENT 0001 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the request for quote (RFQ) for the required supplies and services as required by solicitation N00189-06-T-0230. Please notify FISC Norfolk for necessary attachment. Amendment 0001 The purpose of this AMENDMENT 0001 is to answer the following questions: 1. The tentative anchorage is N17 08 / W 061 54 and it is 3 miles from fleet landing. If it does move it will not substantially change the ferry trip. 2. As far as the provisions barge, we?re looking for a barge that can be loaded with pallets of material. If a forklift can be provided on the barge, it?ll help get the pallets into cargo nets for us to lift and load through the EL 4 doors in the hangar bay. We?re also looking for some bodies to handle the material from barge (so that our folks don?t have to get down onto the barge to load the ship). Not sure how the provisions would come, they would be provided from a local vendor . . . usually delivered palletized and shrink wrapped. We?d only by looking at about 15-20 pallets max.
