Description
The Directorate of Contracting (DOC), Ft Campbell, KY has a requirement for 65 each double rooms and 20 each single rooms for a base period of one year (01 June 2006  31 May 2007) and 4 option years. The procurement will be conducted on a sole sourc e basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304c (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The agency intends to enter into a firm-fixed price contract with Turner Guest House, Ft Campbell, KY, for lease of hotel rooms for Medical Hold Over soldiers who have wounds, injury, or medical conditions that require them to be close to Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) where they are receiving medical treatment, located at Fort Campbell, KY. The basis for restricting competition is that th e soldiers must be housed in close proximity to BACH for immediate medical treatment and for command and control purposes. NAICS code for this procurement is 721110 and the small business size standard is $6,000,000.00. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition, and awarded on an unrestricted basis. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and a solicitation will not be issued; however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with th e requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. See numbered Note 22. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Turner Guest House. Responses are due by 12 May 2006, 3:00 PM. (CST).
