- In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration Acquisition Management System (FAA AMS), 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to announce the FAA's intent to issue a three (3) month bridge modification to Contract DTFA03-00-C-00025, (Syport Systems, Inc.) for the Airworthiness Assurance Research and Development Technical Support at the William J. Hughes Technical Center. A Solicitation (DTFACT-06-R-00020)for the follow-on Contract was issued on 12/23/2005, however, no technically acceptable proposals were received. The FAA now needs additional time to issue a new Solicitation. The purpose of the Bridge Modification is to allow services to continue uninterupted while the FAA recompetes the follow on Contract. The FAA intends to issue the new Solicitation, with an amended Statement of Work, on or about May 25, 2006.
