- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole source, firm-fixed price contract under commercial item acquisition procedures with Electro-Metrics, Inc., 231 Enterprise Road, Johnstown, NY 12095 under RFQ E002561. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Electro-Metrics is to provide the following item: EM-2515 Automatic Antenna Switches. These units use custom firmware for automatic antenna control switching and connectivity to various electronic equipment interfaces. Based on the market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government and the related industry, it has been determined the FBI?s requirement for the above-listed items can only be provided by Electro-Metrics, Inc. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 1:00PM, EST, Wednesday, May 10, 2006, via facsimile to the attention of Gary W. Hopkins, Contracting Officer, at (703)632-1844, or email to: ghopkin1@leo.gov. Information received will be solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System Number is 334220 and the size standard is 750 employees. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Parts 12 and 13.5. The awardee must be registered in the Central Contactor Registration Database.
