SOLICITATION No. F3QCCM6089A200 CONTRACTING OFFICE: 78 CONS/PKA 235 BYRON ST ROBINS AFB GA 31098-1611 POINT OF CONTACT: JOHN I. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: The Contractor shall provide all the labor, material, supplies, and transportation necessary to evaluate, overhaul and return ship FOB destination Engine Lathe (WR001910), Serial No. 39294, Model N. The Contractors shall perform a receiving inspection of the lathe upon arrival at the Contractor’s facility. The received condition must be completely documented. The lathe then shall be cleaned and completely disassembled at unit level and reinspected. The lathe can then be completely rebuilt or overhauled to current OEM tolerances and specifications. Contractor shall perform all required tests, alignments, and checkouts to ensure that the rebuild or overhaul complied with OEM tolerances and specifications. Finally, the lathe shall be repainted with NMTBA #7 Polane Gray. Contractor shall contact the Government POC and arrange to demonstrate the engine lathe is fully operational and that it meets or exceeds manufacturers specifications prior to return shipping item back to Robins AFB Georgia 31098. The rebuilt engine lathe shall be accompanied by two complete sets of updated parts list and service manuals. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 150-Days after receipt of lathe. FOB: Destination THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6 AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. SOLICITATION IS RESERVED FOR SMALL BUSINESS CERTIFIED CONTRACTORS. PROPOSALS ARE DUE NOT LATER THAN 28 APRIL 2006 AT 3:00 PM EST. Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the lathe.
