- The 89th Contracting Squadron at Andrews AFB MD intends to award a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract to a fully qualified Funeral Director to provide mortuary services and supplies. The contractor shall provide professional mortuary services, facilities, equipment, licensed personnel, supplies, death certificates, caskets, urns, outer shipping containers, transportation, and practices as specified in the Performance Work Statement to accomplish the removal, delivery, and preparation of remains. The contractor shall comply with the highest industry standards. The quantities are unknown; the range could be from zero to 10 for the base period. The area of performance is a 350-mile radius of Andrews AFB MD. The contract will be a base contract with four option years with the base period of performance of 29 August 2005 to 28 August 2006. The start date of the period of performance is subject to change. This will be a 100% set-aside for small businesses. The solicitation will be posted in FedBizOpps in approximately 15 days.
