- National Park Service, C & O Canal National Historical Park will be releasing a Request for Quote on approximately May 1, 2006, for recording and transcription services for quarterly Commission meetings. These meetings are held at various locations including (but not limited to) Cumberland, MD; Shepherdstown, WV; Potomac, MD; Hancock, MD; Point of Rocks, MD; Glen Echo, MD; Washington, DC; and Boyds, MD. It is our intention to award a Blanket Purchase Agreement for these services. The services needed are as follows: vendor to come to the location of the meeting (typically 6 hours including lunch), set up recording/transcription equipment, record and then transcribe the meeting discussions to typed transcript and Windows CD format. These meetings are held 4 times per year and we usually know a month in advance where and what time the next meeting will be held.
