- Notice of Contract Action for a Sole Source Procurement SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT FOR: RUSKA 2465 PRESSURE CONTROLLER. This equipment is comprised of six items: The Auto float Compatible Instrument Base?The Auto float Controller?The Auto float Sleeve Mass?The lines & Fittings Kit?The Vacuum Sensor Kit?The Laboratory Environment Monitor. 1 ea. P/N 2465A-754A?Auto float Compatible Instrument Base with bell jar, motor drive with auto-rotation, electronic float position detection, level vial and three point leveling system. 1 ea. Auto float Controller?P/N 2465A-200-Positive shut-off controller. Automatically generates pressure & maintains piston float position at desired pressure points. Includes WinPrompt32 calibration software, adapter kit with RTD, BNC Connector cable and barometric reference. 115VAC/60Hz [Auto float system requires vacuum pumps equipped with auto-vent capability] 1 ea. Auto float Sleeve Mass-P/N 2465-89-1A ?Allows use of existing mass set with Auto float system. Max pressure is equal to existing pressure range of piston/cylinder mass set combination. 1 ea. Lines & Fittings Kit P/N 2465a-23-Includes all interconnecting tubing & fittings. 1 ea. P/N 2455- VAC Vacuum Sensor Kit to monitor bell jar vacuum. 1 ea. 2456-LEM?Laboratory Environment Monitor ?Monitors barometric pressure, ambient temperature, and relative humidity for real time air density measurement. For use with WinPrompt, or in stand along configurations. Includes additional LemCal software to display all parameters and perform data logging. A NIST traceable calibration certificate is included. DESC: INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT WITH Ruska Instrument Corporation. The Air Force, Edwards Air Force Base, CA intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Ruska Instrument Corporation, 10311 Westpark Dr. Houston, TX 77042. The Sole Source purchase will be for the following one (1) commercial item: MODEL: RUSKA 2465 PRESSURE CONTROLLER Description: 1 ea. P/N 2465A-754A--Autofloat Compatible Instrument Base with bell jar, motor drive with auto-rotation, electronic float position detection, level vial and three point leveling system. 1 ea. Expected delivery of 6-8 WARO. Equipment Commonality requirements exist. We have calibrated weights calibrated by AFPSL & vacuum pumps that will be used & are calibrated with this system. Must be an exact form, fit, function. Ruska Instrument Corporation is the only known source that can satisfy the requirements of the Government at this time. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the RUSKA 2465 PRESSURE CONTROLLER. If the office has not received any affirmative written responses by Close of Business (COB), 26 APRIL 2006, a Sole Source purchase order will be pursued with Ruska Instrument Corporation, 10311 Westpark Dr. Houston, TX 77042.
