Description
The International Broadcasting Bureau Germany/Broadcasting Broadcasting Board of Governors, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Mr. Ibrahim Alhajaj, Shemesani, Amman, Jordan. The statutory authority which permits other than full and open competition that is applicable to this procurement is, as stated in FAR 6.302-1, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1) which permits other than full and open competition when the supplies or services acquired by the Agency are available from only one responsible source and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy the Agency?s requirement. The International Broadcasting Bureau Germany has a requirement for satellite equipment and sites preparation/refurbishment in order to make these sites available for installation of BBG?s transmittal equipment at Iraq Media Network Site in Shomaly, Iraq. The contractor shall provide all engineering services, equipment, electrical parts and supplies necessary to perform the installation. The contractor is responsible for all costs related to refurbishment and site preparation, including importation of equipment, accessories, electrical parts and supplies into Iraq (including customs clearance and transportation). The contractor shall ensure the completion of work within 90 days after receipt of the Award. Any questions regarding this Notice shall be in writing and submitted to the attention of the Contracting Officer, Mr. James M. All written expressions of interest shall specifically reference this FBO Notice by its title and date of publication. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Interested parties shall submit written responses including prices and technical data that is sufficient to determine its capability to meet this entire requirement without the need for further information. All responses must be received in this office within 10 calendar days after publication of this Notice. It should be noted that no contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Information received will be reviewed to determine if a comparable source, more advantageous to the Government is available. If no affirmative written responses are received, negotiations will be held with Mr. Ibrahim Alhajaj without further notice.
