Description
United States Marine Corps Logistics Command is interested in identifying sources of supply to improve Care-of-Supplies-in-Stores (COSIS) for selected ground, tactical equipment through improved preservation capabilities. The intent is to procure custom fitted polyethylene-type material with shrink-stretch capabilities to cover a variety of Marine Corps ground tactical equipment. The customer is specifically interested in products using vapor corrosion inhibitor (VCI) to protect the equipment/vehicles during long term storage of up to and exceeding two years. The material should possess ultra violet (UV) protection in climates consistent with the Southeast United States and be durable for use, removal and reuse. The material should be flexible to allow fitting of both heat shrinking and/or drawstring closure. The requirement includes custom fitted products with inspection access points. The material minimum thickness is 7 mil., and be available in olive green and desert tan colors. The material must also conform to local, state, and federal EPA environmental restrictions. Only sources who can meet or exceed the above criteria should contact the Mr Beaulieu to coordinate meeting with the intended user of the bags/wrap.
