Description
This acquisition is for a Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer(DMA) with Differential Thermal Analysis/Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DTA/DSC) capabilities: (1) Temperature Range: -150 to 500?C (min), w/ technical resolution of 0.003?K (max) & accuracy of 0.5?K (max). (2) Selectable Force Range: 0.005 to 40N (min), w/ tech resolution of 1.5mN (max) & sensitivity of 1 mN (max). (3) Selectable Frequency Range: 0.001 to 1000Hz (min), w/ tech resolution of 0.00001Hz (max) & accuracy of 0.0001Hz (max). Capable of logarithmic & linear modes, along w/ sequentially & simultaneously multi-freq modes. (4) Displacement Range: +/- 1.6 mm (min), w/ tech resolution of 0.6 nm (max) & sensitivity of 5 nm (max). (5) Sample Length: 100 mm (max in bending modes). (6) Large Force Range: capable of measuring up to 5 decades of stiffness in a single experiment. (7) Six (6) basic measurement modes: (a) 3-point Bending, Single & Dual Cantilever w/ 10 to 106 N/m stiffness range (min). (b)! Shear w/ 10 to 108 N/m (min). (c) Tension & Compression w/ 10 to 107 N/m (min). (8) DTA/DSC allows the use of melting point standards for calibration and simultaneous observation of the nature of transitions (endo- versus exo-thermic) while performing the DMA runs. DTA/DSC with the following capabilities: (a) Temperature Range: ambient to 500?C (min). (b) Weight Range: ? 50 mg or greater but no more than 1 g. (c) Sample Type: solids. (d) Weight Readability: 0.001 to 0.0001 mg. (c) DT Range: ? 1000?V (min). (d) Programmable Heating Rate: 0.1?C/min to 100.0?C/hr, with a hold time of 0 min to 999 hrs (min). (e) Atmosphere control built-in gas flow meter (100 ml/min max) - looking to have the capability to purge using inert gases (i.e., nitrogen and argon). (f) Includes: Operating instructions, Calibration kit, Sample handling kit, wooden box for storage of clamps and accessories. (g) Intrinsically safe to use on energetic materials. (h) Required AC Power: 110V/220V, 60 Hz. (9) Digital Acquisition/Controller System; Win2000 or be tter. At a minimum a computer w/ Windows 2000 or better: 2 GHz Intel Pentium IV Processor with 512K Cache or better, 256 Mb RAM (at a minimum), 40 Gb HDD or better, 48 x CD-ROM with CDRW capability or better, 3.5" 1.44MD Floppy Drive, complete with Mouse, Keyboard, Ethernet capability, at least four USB ports, and 17" LCD Panel (Flat Screen). (10) Advance Analysis Software, with data analysis enhancements for Win2000 or better. (11) DeskJet Printer. (12) Installation and Training to be provided by the contractor. (13) Standard Commercial Warranty is also to be provided by the contractor. (14) One year extended warranty.
