- Project Description: Grounds maintenance for up to 138 acres at the B. Everett Jordan Dam and Lake, Moncure, NC. Services will include cutting grass, controlling weeds and other vegetation, spraying herbicide to control weeds, maintenance of mulch in planting beds, and other related services. The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, supplies, supervision, and other items and services as necessary to perform a comprehensive grounds maintenance service. The Contractor shall perf orm in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW) and with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. General Information: This solicitation will be issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The anticipated award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract made based on the Best Value to the Government. The evaluation will consist of past performance, technical approach and price, with price approximately equal to past performance and technical approach combined. The period of performance will be for one (1) base period from the date of award through 30 Sep 06, and four (4) option years from 1 Oct through 30 Sep . This acquisition is to be set aside 100% for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561730. The Small Business size standard for this code is $6,500,000. Other information: The solicitation, which will include a site visit date and other attachments, will be posted on or around 10 April 2006 and must be downloaded from the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at www.fbo.gov. Proposals will be due on or about 3 May 2006.
