This Procurement will be conducted under FSC CODE: Y219, SIC CODE: 1629, NAICS Code: 237110. The size standard for this code is $31,000,000. TYPE OF AWARD: Firm-Fixed Price DESCRIPTION: Project consists of 3.17 miles of 36 diameter water main and related facilities and will connect two existing 36 diameter water mains at Avenue H and Avenue I in the City of Lancaster, CA. All BIDS are due not later than 27 April 2006/1:00 pm PST, at which time bid opening will occur. The acquisition method is sealed bidding. Subcontracting plans are required for all construction contracts awarded to a large business when the award amoun t exceeds $1,000,000.00. If the successful bidder is a large business, they will be required to submit a subcontracting plan upon request. The Los Angeles District subcontracting goals are specific percentages of the contractors total planned subcontra ct amount. The goals are as follows: 62% with small business, 10% with small disadvantaged business, 10% with women owned small business, 3% with veteran owned small business, 3% with service disabled veteran owned small business and 3% with hubzone smal l business. All interested contractors are reminded that the successful contractor will be expected to place subcontracts to the maximum practicable extent with small and disadvantaged firms in accordance with the Provisions of Public Law 95-507.
