Description
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has a requirement to purchase a minimum of twenty-one (21) mini tower workstation with dual Xeon CPU's, (2) 250GB hard drives, DVD Burner, 19" display+ (See attached for specifications). Also required is the purchase of a minimum of twenty-one (21) mini tower computers Pentium 4, 250GB SATA-III, DVD burner and (2) 19" display+ (See attached for specifications). These computers will be used in a network video data storage and collection system. The dual processor computer will be the main device that collects and records digital network video from a number of different network camera systems. It requires processing power to support the critical function of processing all the real time video data being sent to the computer. Once data has been collected, it can be provided to remote users and system devices at the quickest rate that the system's remaining resources allow. The second computer is used in conjunction with the video collecting computer. Depending upon system loading, either computer may act as the central video monitoring station, where multiple video signals can be viewed on dual display monitors. The second computer may be used to provide network support functions and/or support the dual display monitors. With the secondary computer being used in the dual monitor mode, the dual processor computer will be free of the need to support video displays and will have more computational resources available to process additional video streams. Thus both computers are equipped to handle dual video displays, but display are being procured to only allow one of the two units to have a second display.
