- Description
- The United Stated Department of Agriculture (USDA) seeks information related to its Web-Based Tobacco Transition Payment and Assessment Programs, National Processing, Call Center Support, and Maintenance of the Tobacco Transition Payment Program systems initiative (hereinafter ?Tobacco Transition Initiative?). This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request For Proposal (RFP). The USDA intends to assess the capabilities and then issue a RFP at a later date. Should the Government decide to issue an RFP, the solicitation will likely be issued in FY 2007. In addition, the Government anticipates utilizing an 8-year contract (1-year Base Period with seven 1-year Option Periods). Any comments or concerns regarding the use of an extended contract period should be addressed in the vendor?s response to this RFI. Please ensure that any sensitive or protected information is marked as such. The Government will not pay for, nor reimburse, any expenses incurred in responding to this RFI.
