Description: The United States Agency for International Development, Jordan intends to award a contract for the design and CMC services for the upgrade of the existing wastewater treatment plant at Mafraq, Jordan. The design will be based on a concept design that was prepared to determine if low-tech, low-cost, and low-maintenance is appropriate to upgrade the existing waste stabilization ponds. The period of performance is approximately 22 months. This is a full and open competition. Proposals will be accepted from responsible U.S. Firms as well as Jordanian firms classified as class 1A consulting firms in the field of water and wastewater as per the Jordanian Ministry of Public Works and Housing. A draft Statement of Work is being provided for comments by the Industry. Comments can be sent to Mr. Ziad Abd-Rabu at e-mail: zabd-rabu@usaid.gov not later than May 4, 2006.
