Description
The VA Healthcare Network Upstate New York at Syracuse intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Medrad of Indianola, PA for the purchase and installation of one (1) Stellant D Dual Syringe CT Injection System. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302 ? only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. NAICS Code 334510 applies and the size standard is 500 employees. Medrad is classified as other than small business. To the best of our knowledge, Medrad is the only company that offers a Saline Flush System when performing CT procedures while allowing for simultaneous injections of saline and contrasts. This equipment also has a Pressure Monitor Graph feature which measures real time pressure at the syringe tip and an injector that can test inject while in the same protocol. This injector is identical to the one provided as a component of the recently purchased Philips Brilliance 64 Channel CT Scanner and will provide an added benefit of standardization on one product for ease of use for technician training as well as for procuring disposables from a single vendor. No solicitation document is available; however, any firm that believes it has a product that can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within ten (10) calendar days from the date of publication of this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate compliance. Information may be sent electronically to Sheila.Smith3@va.gov , by fax to (315) 425-4843, or by mail to: Contracting Officer (2-90NCA), VA Medical Center, 800 Irving Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210. Any responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government as to whether to complete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses must be received by the due date specified in this notice to be considered.
