- The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) intends to award a fixed-price indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity type contract for heavy duty transmission line steel pole structures as a result of this solicitation. The period of performance will be for four years, and the contract will contain an economic price adjustment clause requiring the evaluation of market conditions, and possible price adjustments, on an annual basis. The steel poles required hereunder shall be delivered to various WAPA sites located in 13 Western states including Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming. Delivery points for the steel poles will vary from surface storage areas adjacent to all-weather roads to off-road deliveries to individual structure sites. Steel poles under this contract will acquired by issuance of individual delivery orders. This acquisition is unrestricted and the applicable NAICS code for the requirement is 332312. The solicitation, drawings and other documents applicable to this acquisition will be made available for downloading on about April 14, 2006 through the Department of Energy???s ???Industry Interactive Procurement System ??? (IIPS). The solicitation number is DE-RQ65-06WA32155 and the Internet address for IIPS is http://e-center.doe.gov/. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dunn and Bradstreet.
