Potential offerors for a head mounted viewer or display for the CPE are notified that the CPE program office will make a Cupola Protective Ensemble available on a prescheduled basis at our Haymarket facility for industry personnel to measure, scan or photo graph during the week of 24 April 2006. As an alternative, Med-Eng has agreed to sell vendors a CPE visor, 919-0000 (NSN 8470-01-526-9751. The point of contact for Med-Eng is Danny Crossman, 613 851-1118, email address dcrossman@med-eng.com. We are in the process of obtaining drawings of the v isor assembly to include dimensions, curvature details etc. All offerors who have responded to the initial RFI will be provided the drawings if requested. We hope to be able to distribute the drawings before 18 April 2006. The format will probably be .pd f files. The Haymarket facility is approximately 25 miles south of the Dulles (IAD) airport, just off I-66 west at the Haymarket, Virginia exit. Th e address is: 15395 John Marshall Highway, Haymarket, VA 20619. Detailed directions can be provided by phone if needed. It is not mandatory that you visit Haymarket. Not attending will have no effect on receiving further information on this solicitation. If you choose to attend, your company will be prescheduled for a given session of your choice on a first come, first served basis. You can schedule for either a morning visit or an afternoon visit. The preferred start times are 0900 and 1300 but are nego tiable depending on requirements. The mandatory stop times are 1200 and 1500. Attendees will be required to present and wear their company identification while performing the site visit. No security clearances are required. However, you are asked to pre-register who will be attending (name, position/title and phone number only) wi th Ian Littlejohn. Additionally, your head mounted viewer solution shall use eyewear from the Armys family of Combat Eye Protection solutions.
