Description

General Services Administration (GSA) will be soliciting proposals from contractors to perform Lobby Upgrades, Historic Preservation and Restorations (1st Floor, Lobby and 3rd Floor) at the Joseph P. Kinneary U.S. Federal Courthouse, 85 Marconi Blvd, Columbus, Ohio. The work shall consist of, but not be limited to, Historic Preservation and Restorations of First Floor Lobby and court space corridors, and Third Floor Lobby areas. Restoration work includes repair and fill of all surface cracks in plaster ceilings, clean ceiling and wall surfaces, taking care to preserve the original painted finishes on the ceiling, repaint areas on the ceiling where cracks were repaired, restoration of original scagliola elements on the walls, cleaning of marble surfaces on lower portion of walls, clean terrazzo floors, restore and re lamp existing pendant lights The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAIC) code is 236220. The size standard is $31.0 million. The estimate range of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation will be posted on or about April 13, 2006. Proposals are due to the office of the Contracting Officer, 85 Marconi Blvd., Rm. 121, Columbus, OH, 43215 on or about May 15, 2006 at 4:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. This acquisition will be procured on an unrestricted basis in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to all business concerns. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing a secure website known as the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS). FedTeDS is a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. It is fully integrated with other electronic government initiatives such as FedBizOpps and the Central Contract Registration (CCR) database, and is available for use by all Federal agencies. In order to obtain information from FedTeDS, you will first be required to register with CCR. The Central Contractor Registration database is a part of the Business Partner Network, an e-gov initiative, and will be used to validate vendor identity. All government contractors must be registered in CCR prior to receiving an award. You may access CCR at the following URL www.bpn.gov. Once you have registered with CCR you will be required to register with FedTeDS. No federal materials can be downloaded until you have registered under both sites. You may access FedTeDS via the following URL https://www.FedTeDS.gov. You will then be required to access the vendor registration form by selecting the hyperlink entitled Register with FedTeDS and then choosing the Vendor Registration Form hyperlink. At a minimum all vendors must supply the following information: Your Company's Central Contractor Registration (CCR), Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN) (You can get this from your Company's CCR Point of Contact), your Company's DUNS Number or CAGE Code (Contact Dun & Bradstreet at 1-800-333-0505 if you do not have a D&B Number), your telephone number, and your e-mail address. Any questions regarding this notification should be directed to the Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist whose name appears herein. Bid and performance bonds will be required. All responsive offers from responsible offerors will be considered. Small Disadvantaged, Women-Owned, HUB-Zone, Veteran Owned, and Disabled Veterans Owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals. However, the firm must also be a small business concern.
