- The purpose of this amendment is to correct and clarify the shipping requirements as follows: ***The contractor shall pack and mark the shipment in conformance with carrier requirements, deliver the shipment in good order and condition to the point of delivery specified in the purchase order, be responsible for any loss of and/or damage to the goods occurring before receipt and acceptance of the shipment by the consignee at the delivery point specified in the purchase order; and pay all charges to the specified point of delivery. The contractor shall deliver all line items to NIST, Building 235, NIST Center for Neutron Research (NCNR), Gaithersburg, MD 20899-0001. *** ***The Contractor shall notify the COTR of projected arrival times of delivery at least 3 working days prior to arrival. The notification shall include date and approximate time of arrival, name of shipping company, and name and citizenship of driver(s). (This is for registration with NIST Security). Deliveries must be scheduled such that they arrive at NIST Gaithersburg between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. ET on a normal working day. All personnel that will be required must submit their names and company information and date of visit to the TPOC (Technical Point of Contact) for access on site. Upon arrival proceed to the visitor?s center at the main gate and pick up your visitors badge. Personnel without submitted information will not be permitted on site. Personnel must be escorted by assigned contact TPOC at all times. NIST will provide adequate rigging services to unload and transport the equipment to the specified location in our facility. Within 24-hours of delivery to NCNR, the Contractor will complete the installation/set-up. All other terms of this solicitation remain unchanged. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (05-APR-2006). IT ACTUALLY APPEARED OR REAPPEARED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS SYSTEM ON 06-APR-2006.
