- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue solicitation N00024-06-R-4105 for worldwide rapid response undersea search and salvage operations in support the Director of Ocean Engineering, Supervisor of Salvage and Diving (SUPSALV). The solicitation will be available on both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site located at http://www.eps.gov or http://www.fedbizopps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. This effort involves the services to manage, maintain and operate Emergency Ship Salvage Material (ESSM) bases and overseas equipment complexes. The solicitation also includes requirements for worldwide support operations in the areas of pollution control, spill response, contingency planning, response training, underwater ship husbandry, diving and salvage. The solicitation closing date will be provided in the upcoming solicitation N00024-06-R-4105 planned for release on or about 15 May 2006.
