- The Contracts Department at Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), Point Mugu, California, has been tasked to procure, on a sole source basis, engineering services in support of the Advanced Multiple Emitter Simulator (AMES) II system and subsystem, from Amherst Systems Inc, a subsidiary of Northrop Grumman Corporation, located at 1740 Wehrle Drive, Buffalo, NY. Amherst is the designer, developer, and manufacturer of the AMES II, as such, possesses the requisite knowledge, experience, and personnel to perform the engineering services required. Any firms believing they can provide the engineering services necessary to support the AMES II system may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 5 days after the date of publication of this notice. The written response must clearly show the firm?s ability to perform the services without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability, and without causing hardship to the AMES II program.
