Description

INDICATOR CONTROL SUBASSEMBLY; NSN: 5895-01-157-3077; PN: 12295082-3. The item is a wire-cable assembly with photoelectric control and electrical connectors. The item consists of three connectors, a three strand wire, one boot, and one photoelectri c control. Three components are from source controlled providers, PN 12293286, PN 12308713, and 2590039. The photoelectric control component, PN: FE-NLS7A-1011, is source controlled from Pepper & Fuchs, of Twinberg, Ohio. The complete subassembly is 25. 5 inches long overall. Item is used on the M2A1 Infantry Fighting Vehicle. The anticipated contract will be a fixed quantity, fixed-price contract. The current estimate is for 809 units. No options are anticipated at this time. Delivery terms will be FOB-Destination. The solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following a ddress via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders' mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments that may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to th e date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Except as noted herein, this solicitation is restricted as a small business set aside. In accordance with FAR Subpart 8.6, a competitive bid/proposal will also be sought from Unicor - Fedral Prison Industries (FPI). Award will be made to the source of fering the best value to the Government. Offers from sources other than small business concerns or Unicor - FPI are not solicitated.
