- Description
- The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has designated the Air Force Research Laboratory, Space Vehicles Directorate (AFRL/VS) as the executing agent for the Innovative Space-based RADAR Antenna Technology (ISAT) Flight Demonstration System (FDS) program. In response to this Broad Agency Announcement (BAA), AFRL/VS is requesting detailed cost and technical proposals for the FDS manufacture, integration, testing, launch support, design of a dedicated space experiment, support of on-orbit experiment operations, and data analysis. Competition for this contract is limited to the contractors awarded the Phase 3B effort. The goal of the ISAT Flight Demonstration System (FDS) is to develop and demonstrate key technologies critical to fielding a space-based RADAR (SBR) system capable of providing tactical-grade ground moving target indication (GMTI) from medium Earth orbit (MEO).
