- The Department of Veterans' Affairs, James A. Haley Veterans? Hospital located in Tampa, FL (VISN 8) has a requirement to procure one (1) CARTO XP System with baseline software, location pad, with foot pedal; one (1) Stockert 70 Generator with Remote Control, and one (1) CARTOMERGE Image Integration Software Module. No substitutes shall be accepted. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This acquisition will be accomplished using commercial item procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12. The VA intends to negotiate a firm fixed-price contract with BIOSENSE WEBSTER, INC., 3333 Diamond Canyon Road, Diamond Bar, CA 91765. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339112 - 500 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. Interested parties that believe they can meet this requirement must supply information about their capabilities to the Contracting Officer no later than 3:00 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time), April 17, 2006. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
