- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute?s (NHLBI) Consolidated Operations Acquisition Centers (COAC) has a requirement for the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for a non-competitive award to Genetix Limited, 63-69 Somerford Road, Christchurch Dorsett, BH23 3QA, United Kingdom, to purchase an extended warranty and maintenance service for the following equipment: 1) one each, QPIX, serial number QP100, product code number CON100002; 2) one each, Qbot, serial number QB131, product code number CON100012 for the period of twelve (12) months, and 3) one each, QPix2, serial number QP2300, product code number CON100001 for the period of six (6) months. Genetix Limited is the sole manufacturer of this equipment. The maintenance service must be performed by Certified Engineers from Genetix. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219, Size Standard $6.0 Million is applicable to this requirement. The Small Business Set-Aside does not apply. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurement. Responses to this announcement, referencing synopsis number NHLBI-PS(HG)-2006-166-CDM, may be submitted to the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, Contracts Operations Branch, Procurement Section, Building RKL2, Suite 6042, 6701 Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, Maryland 20892-7902, Attention Ms. Cecilia D. Morales, Purchasing Agent. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency.
