- Description
- The Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB), has a requirement to correct Pulse Step Modulator (PSM) transformer deficiency at the Tinian Transmitting Station, located on the Northern Mariana Islands, Island of Tinian. The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials and all miscellaneous items necessary to drain existing dielectric fluid and fill twelve PSM transformers with minimum 300 degree Celsius dielectric fluid. Also included is an optional requirement for the Contractor to provide and install modular containment dikes for six transmitter bays at the facility. The total estimated construction price range to accomplish the above work is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00, requires completion within 120 calendar days from issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. Pursuant to FAR Subpart 15.304, Offerors are hereby notified that the basis for award will include: (1) technical evaluation factors (i.e., technical approach, management approach, and experience) and (2) price evaluation factors (past performance and proposed firm-fixed price) with technical evaluation factors being approximately equal to price. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 811213, Communication Equipment Repair and Maintenance. Solicitation No. BBGCON3606S6135 is attached to this notice and is available for downloading. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the Agency. Questions must be submitted in writing by 2:00pm, Eastern Standard Time (EST) on April 20, 2006 to the Contracting Officer at the email address or facsimile number provided at the end of this notice.
