Description

The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with FNH USA Inc, McLean, VA for the purchase of ammunition: 5.7X28MM SS195 training round; 5.7X28 MM SS190 duty round and 5.7X28MM blank round. The ammunition is specifically used in the P90 submachine gun manufactured by FNH and FNH is the only supplier of the ammunition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 Circumstances permitting other than full and open competition. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is not a request for competitive quotes. Request to be considered must include a full capability statement and must be received not later than Friday, March 17 at 5 pm EST. **Questions must be e-mailed to Mishelle Miller at Mishelle.Miller@usss.dhs.gov not later than Friday, March 17 at 5 pm EST; questions received by fax or telephone will not be accepted or acknowledged.** The Government anticipates an award date on or about Wednesday, March 22, 2006.
