Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W15P7T-06-Q-B250 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Feder al Acquisition Circular 05-08. The U.S. Army C-E LCMC intends to negotiate and award a purchase order for the DotHill SAN Serial Number: DHSIMIL-051408346D. The following is a description of the maintenance that will be needed from April 22, 2006 through April 21, 2007: 1) DS-PLAT-OSS-7X24 - One year onsite Platinum hardware service with onsite spares for SANnet II FCI DHS0149-01 To Include 12x146 AC 10K Drives 2) SW-SCAPE3.0.8-1M - One year software maintenance for SANScape 3.0.8 Storage Mgmt. - 1 Serv er SERVICE DESCRIPTION: The Platinum Hardware Support includes the following: On-site Spares Kit - For each Platinum Support customer Dot Hill will create an on-site spares kit, which will include a complete set of SANnet FRUs (field replaceable units). This set of Dot Hill-owned spares will be located at the customer's site. Suppo rt contract must be renewed annually in order to continue to use spares kit. If contract is not renewed, the spares kit will be collected. Upon contract termination, customer will have the option to purchase spares. 7x24x4 On-site Service - Platinum custo mers have unlimited access to Dot Hill trained on-site service personnel on a 7x24 basis. Response time is within 4 hours after Dot Hill Technical Support confirms a problem. On-site service visits are unlimited and Dot Hill and/or its partners may be util ized for preventative maintenance and emergency repairs. On-site support visits are provided after the need for an on-site support call is determined by the Dot Hill technician or manager. If a standard FRU replacement is all that is required, and with the customer's assent, Dot Hill's technician may elect to walk the end user through a simple FRU replacement. The part can be delivered and the system returned to availability in much less time. Dot Hill Partner Access - When necessary, an escalation suppor t path to Dot Hill partners is available for Platinum customers. This service is available during partner's normal business hours for most partners. This service is available on a 7x24 basis when specified in the annual maintenance agreement. Escalation P rocess to Senior Management - Access to mission critical support process. Escalated sites monitored by Senior Dot Hill management. SAN Alert Service Included - SAN Alert works with our 24x7 Global Customer Support to give you the security of constant mo nitoring of your storage network. SAN Alert remotely notifies your system administrator and, if you choose, Dot Hill's Global Response Centers. Our experienced support team can solve the problem, often before it is even noticed by your MIS team. Must have SANscape software installed and covered under an annual maintenance program. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the Agency. Shipments are to be FOB destination, U.S. Army Software Engineering Center - Belvoir. The Off ice of the Assistant Secretary of the Army (Manpower & Reserve Affairs) operates and maintains a secure Army data collection site where the contractor will report ALL contractor manpower (including subcontractor manpower) required for performance of this e ffort.
