- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Charleston is seeking information on an established Product Line on the Market, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) tuners. This is only a Request for Information to survey the market for existing coherent tuner technologies. SPAWARSYSCEN Charleston has developed a generic capabilities matrix (attached) and is requesting coherent tuner manufacturers provide information about their systems in accordance with this matrix. Responses from manufacturers choosing to participate will be utilized by various U.S. Government agencies to evaluate capabilities of various COTS ULRTI systems. Procurement of equipment and material IS NOT part of this request. This is a Request For Information (RFI) only. Responses must be in the format requested on the matrix and in the appropriate location provided. Instructions are included in the matrix. Responses to the matrix may be e-mailed to Jeff Lucas at jeffery.lucas@navy.mil or faxed to (843) 218-4377 no later than 26 APR 2006. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AND ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. RESPONDENTS WILL NOT BE NOTIFIED OF THE RESULTS OF THE EVALUATION. RESPONDENTS DEEMED FULLY QUALIFIED WILL BE CONSIDERED IN ANY RESULTING SOLICITATION FOR THE REQUIREMENT. THE APPLICABLE NAIC CODE IS 334220 WITH A SIZE STANDARD OF 750 EMPLOYEES. CLOSING DATE FOR RESPONSES IS 19 APRIL 2006.
