Description

The US Fish and Wildlife Service, Little Pend Oreille National Wildlife Refuge, Colville, Washington requires the services of work crews to thin dense stands of forested regeneration by limbing trees and piling into slash piles. The contractor will provide labor, equipment, and transportation to the specified sites to accomplish the work. A crew numbering approximately 12 people, will be utilized up to a total of ten weeks during the 2006 season. Additional periods of performance of four option years may be requested dependent upon project funding and need. The Northwest Youth Corps employs youths for the purpose of providing participants with job traing, experience and development in the fulfillment of natural resources managment project on public lands. Estimated start date is mid-April, 2006 depending on scheduling. No solicitation will be issued.
