Item 0001 NSN 2915-01-447-4514, Unstaged Fuel Nozzle, Part Number: 4083569 for a quantity range of 18/36/48 EA. This part must be acquired from manufacturing source specified on source control drawing 4083569 from Cage 77445 or be approved by cognizant engineering activity. Potential sources are not to utilize intellectual property of third parties without appropriate authorization of the intellectual property owner. Potential sources are cautioned that no part of the government property qualification requirement is intended to endorse or encourage the improper use of intellectual property developed by the Original Equipment Manufacturer or any other third party. Form/Fit/Function: The unstaged fuel nozzle is a hybrid design of pressure atomizing primary circuit and an air blast atomizing secondary circuit used to increase the fuel concentration at the igniters. The pressure atomizing section flows continuously throughout the engine operating range. It contains a flow regulating valve in the body of the fuel nozzle. The nozzles are mounted externally on the diffuser case and can be removed for maintenance without disassembling the gas generator. Material is nickel alloy. Dimensions are approximately 6 inches X 1 inch X 1 inch. All responsible sources may submit a proposal. Request for Written Quotation will be issued. The anticipated award date will be 60 days after the issuance of this notice. (65065) While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price, technical capability and past performances detailed in the solicitation. Note: an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues disagreements and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of the proposal or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call the Ombudsman at (405) 736-3273.
