- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is looking for Architect/Engineer firms certified in the following programs: 8(a), HUBZone, SDB, WOSB, SDVOSB and/or VOSB. The AE firm must be approved under NAICS Code 541310 with a small business size standard of $4.5 mil and must have experience designing medical facilities with a value about $40 million. The project site is located at the Jefferson Barracks Division, St. Louis MO, therefore, the AE must have an established working office within a 125 mile radius of the project site. The project scope is to provide professional design services for both new and renovated spaces, HVAC upgrade and demolition work. New construction will consist of a Therapy Facility for Rehabilitation Medicine (25,000 SF), Engineering Building (30,000 SF), Consolidated Warehouse (24,000 SF) and a Chapel (3,500 SF). Two buildings (approximately 130,000 total SF) will be renovated and consist of general office, clinic, audio-visual, and administration support spaces. Remaining scope involves providing energy efficient HVAC package units to 14 buildings to replace an existing boiler/chiller plant and demolition of approximately 15 buildings. Required services will include preparation of schematics and design development plans, specifications and construction estimate cost. The contract will also include a VA option to subdivide the project into several projects and an option to provide a design-build RFP package, construction period services, and site visits. AE firms having the qualifications and capabilities necessary to perform the stated requirements are invited to provide information to contribute to this market survey/sources sought.
