- Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to replace slab on micropiles in Building 63 at USCG Support Center Elizabeth City, NC. The work includes but is not limited to: Demolish, remove and dispose of an interior concrete slab-on-grade, concrete masonry unit walls and fire doors. Prepare subbase for concrete slab-on-grade. Provide 550 tons of new No. 57 stone subbase. Grade and compact stone and gravel subbase. Provide helical screw foundations for structural support of new concrete slab-on-grade. The Contractor shall provide for the design, materials, placement and performance of the piles and concrete slab brackets in accordance with the construction drawings and specifications. Provide new concrete slab-on-grade. Repair transformer vault concrete masonry unit walls. Provide fire-rated type of manually operated overhead coiling service doors. Provide non-load-bearing steel framing members for partition walls. Provide interior gypsum board fire rate partition walls with wood base. Provide surface preparation and the application of paint systems on the interior surface of concrete masonry units (CMU) and interior surface of gypsum board partition walls. Support and maintain transformers, panel boards, relays, fire alarms, etc. as indicated on the drawings. Fire doors contain lead based paint. Remove and dispose of doors intact when possible. Unit Work #1: Contractor shall provide cost per ton for additional No. 57 stone subbbase, complete and in-place. Quantity shall be based on 55 tons; and Unit Work Item #2: Contractor shall provide cost for disposal of hazardous debris created from the improper removal of lead based paint. The estimated range is $1,000,000 - $5,000,000. Performance Period is 497 DANTP. This action is a total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS for this project is 237990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $31.0M. The Prime Contractor shall perform, at a minimum, 25% of the labor at the job site with employees from its own workforce. Award will be based on Best Value. Helical Screw Foundations ? Installer Qualifications (to be provided with offer): Installer shall provide documentation to demonstrate experience on projects of similar size and complexity, and who is authorized and trained by the manufacturer to install its products. Installer must provide evidence of at least two successful construction contracts performed in the vicinity of Elizabeth City, NC. No telephone or written requests for solicitation or posting status. A bid bond is not required for offers under $100,000. A Plan Holders List or Bidder?s List is not available from this office.
