- CONTRACTING OFFICE: 811 Constitution Ave, Bedford, IN 47421. USDA, Forest Service, Ohio River Basin Procurement Cluster has a requirement for a contractor to provide labor, services, material and equipment necessary to perform old water well filling on the Hoosier National Forest. The government intends to award at least one Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIA) contract. The contract term will be base year plus four option years. The work will include filling old water wells with 2-6 inch stone to within 2-3 feet of surrounding land surface, cover the top 2-3 feet with native topsoil, or if wells are not easily filled or accessible, they will be capped. Project location: Wells to be filled are located on both the Brownstown Ranger District and the Tell City Ranger District. Counties are Brown, Lawrence, Crawford, Monroe, Jackson, Orange, and Perry. Estimated cost is between $10 and 100K. All work is to comply with local, Federal and State codes and is subject to Service wage rates. A small business set-aside solicitation will be issued. The requirement will be awarded as a Performance Based Service, fixed price contract. A multiple award contract is anticipated. Solicitation number: AG-52B1-S-06-0039. This solicitation will be available ONLY electronically at the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) website: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/, on approximately April 14th, 2006. Copies of the specifications, drawings and wage rates will be uploaded to FEDBIZOPPS along with the solicitation document. Proposals will be due no later than 12:00 local time on May 1, 2006. A pre-proposal meeting is scheduled to be held at the Supervisor?s Office, 811 Constitution Ave, Bedford, IN 47421 at 9 am (local) on April 10, 2006.
