- Description
- The contractor shall provide construction services for the Garden of the Gods Rec Area and Trial Improvements on the Shawnee National Forest in Gallatin County of Illinois. The work consists of, but is not limited to the following: remove five (5) existing vault toilet buildings, install two (2) CXT vault toilets, reconstruct and widen the observation trail loop, construct a two-tiered retaining wall adjacent to the parking area, construct additional parking in the Pharoh's Campground and Picnic Area and replace two (2) water tanks. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation and supplies, and perform all work required in accordance with drawings and specifications of the contract. Location of project: within the Garden of the Gods Recreation Area. From Harrisburg, take Route 45 South, turn left on Route 34/145, proceed south approximately 5 miles, then turn right onto Route 34. Proceed approximately 11 miles to Karbers Ridge Road and turn left, continue approximately 3 miles, turn left onto Garden of the Gods road, proceed north approximately 1 mile to the Garden of the Gods Recreation Area. This solicitation will be advertised as an unrestricted procurement using the sealed bidding format and a 20% bid bond will be required, as well as past performance data, for a firm fixed price, construction contract, under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. This solicitation will be available ONLY electronically at the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website: http://www.eps.gov/, on approximately April 19, 2006.
