- Description
- The intent of this solicitation and any resultant contract is to obtain services for air tactical type I, light high-fixed-wing multi engine aircraft fully operated by qualified personnel and equipped to meet specifications for special use missions. The aircraft furnished will be used for air attack platforms for incident support and may also be used for project, law enforcement, and administrative flights. One aircraft will be located in LaGrande, OR with a 75 day Mandatory Availability Period and the second aircraft will be located in Wenatchee, WA with a 90 day Mandatory Availability Period. During the Mandatory Availability Period and any extensions thereof, the aircraft will be made available for the exclusive use of the Government. The Government has Interagency and Cooperative agreements with other Federal and State Agencies and private landholders. Aircraft may be dispatched under this contract for such use. The Government may designate alternate bases for temporary operation. Posting of the solicitation package is anticipated on March 30, 2006.
