- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to initiate a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Chadwick-Helmuth, A Business Unit of Honeywell International, Inc., El Monte, CA 91731-1211. The purpose of the proposed BOA and all subsequent order placed under it is to procure Vibration Analysis Support Equipment (VASE) repair service to support the H-1 Program, Repair of Repairables (ROR), VASE, 8500C, P/N P0342-3 and CH-46 Balancer/Analyzer Kit, P/N P0372, NSN 2VX 4920-01-424-2848, and E2C/C130/P-3 Propeller kit NIIN 6R 01-469-9536 and 8500C+ Balance Analyzer NSN 7R6625-01-474-9706. The BOA will cover repair services that include disassembly and repair of major sub-components such as the Balancer Analyzer, part number (P/N) 13930 and 10800-1, the Signal Selector, PN 13935 an 11130-1, the Fastrak Optical Tracker, P/N 113945 and 11800-3, the Strobex, P/N 13940 and 8620, the Block Velo with Power Converter, P/N 10090-2 and subsequent reassembly testing and adjustments and/or calibration as necessary. The VASE is a microprocessor-based instrument designed to acquire and record AH-1W and H-46 rotor system vibration data and rotor blade tracking information. The proposed BOA for repair services shall be for a period of three (3) years. Repairs will consist of repair/replacement of defective sub-components that are beyond the maintenance capability of the intermediate level. All repairs will be done using original manufactured replacement parts. Chadwick-Helmuth Co. Inc is the sole designer and manufacturer of the VASE. The technical data and drawings for the VASE are proprietary to Chadwick-Helmuth Co. Inc. NAWCADLKE intends to procure this under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation package is available for this procurement. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
