- EMERGENCY PROCUREMENT: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, has a need for Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract for Professional Services consisting of right-of-way (ROW) acquisition and project management in connection with the repair and rehabilitation of that portion of the Lake Pontchartrain and Vicinity Hurricane Protection Project located in Orleans and Jefferson Parishes, Louisiana. The purpose of this contract is to provide the products and services necessary to ensure not only that real estate interests are acquired from the proper owners for just compensation, but also that relocation assistance is provided to eligible persons in accordance with the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Po licies Act of 1970, Public Law 91-646, as amended. Both Public Law 91-646, as amended, and the 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 24 provides specific rules for conducting acquisition and relocations. These regulations can be accessed at http://fh wa.dot.gov/realestate/ua.htm. In addition, appraisals will be in accordance with the Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisitions.
