- The solicitation was released on 28 April 2006 (JST). There will be a site visit held at Yokosuka Naval Base on 04 April 2006. To attend please read the following instructions taken from section 00100 of the solicitation: 52.236-27 Site Visit (Construction) SITE VISIT (a) The clauses at 52.236-2, Differing Site Conditions, and 52.236-3, Site Investigations and Conditions Affecting the Work, will be included in any contract awarded as a result of this solicitation. Accordingly, Offerors or qoutors are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. (b) Meeting date, time, and location is as follows. 1)Date and Time: 4 April 2006, 0900 hours.Individuals that require escort must show up one (1) hour early for processing of pass. Please bring picture ID (Drivers license or passport) to obtain a pass. 2)Location of Meeting: Carney Gate (main gate), Yokosuka NB, Japan 3)Point of Contact: Mr. Masaaki Kido, Tel 046-816-5998 or Ms. Yumiko Sato at 046-816-7307 (c) Pre-proposal site investigation and conference will be conducted with the following schedule. 1)Meet at Carney Gate (0900 hours). 2)Discuss various conditions regarding project at Bldg. 4364, Room No. 208. 3)Site investigation. NOTE: Prospective offerors shall be limited to four (4) personnel and one (1) vehicle per company. Transportation to the site will not be provided by the Government. Walking to the site from Carney Gate will take approximately 5 minutes and 10 minutes to Bldg 4364. Contractors interested in attending the site visit shall contact the Yokosuka Resident Office and provide the following information for base access, for personnel and vehicle. Information shall be provided by 31 March 2006, 1700 hours. Pl ease fax the following information to (046) 816-7792. The prospective offerors must call (046) 816-7307 and inform the office that they wish to send a fax. 1)Company Name 2)Individual Names (in English and Japanese) of personnel representing the Contractor (NOTE: Individuals not identified on the fax shall NOT be allowed access to the base for the site visit). 3)Telephone Number 4)Vehicle Information: Make, Model, Year and License Plate Number Drivers Information: Drivers license, insurance information. *Please bring picture ID (Drivers license or passport) to obtain a pass.
