- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, an acquisition purchase to Advion Biosciences Inc.. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The purchase is for: 1) NanoMate; Simultaneous LC/MS coupling to ESI Chip and fractionation unit with incorporation of a post-column splitter and 6-port valve for colecting LC fractions into 96 or 384-well sample plates. Automated nanoelectrospray unit for analysis of 96 or 384 well plate samples using the HD ESI Chip. Spraying sensing module for detection of chip spray. Includes: NanoMate HD unit, NanoMate Electronics Module, Installation Kit, 12 month warranty agreement and 12 month Maintenance agreement. 2) Sciex Nanoflow ion source module (4000, 4000 Qtrap). The authority for this sole source procurement is FAR Part 6.302-1 in that Advion Biosciences, Inc. is the only known source for this acquisition. This not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the required products are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The following provisions apply to this acquisition; 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors - Commercials Items (MAR 2000) applies to this acquisition; 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items (JAN 1999); the evaluation criteria stated in paragraph (a) of this provision are as follows: (1) technical capability of the proposed system to meet the requirements stated herein, and (2) price. The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms & Conditions - Commercial Items (MAY 1999) applies to this acquisition. The following FAR Clauses are hereby added to this clause: 52.247-35 F.O.B. Destination; The clause at 52.212-5 - Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following clauses listed in paragraph (b) of 52.212-5 apply to this acquisition: (1), (3), (5), (7), (9), (11), (12), (14), (15), (17), (18), (20) and (24).
