- Presolicitation Notice. The Government announces this requirement to procure for repairs and alterations to office space at the Federico Degetau Federal Office Building, Hato Rey, PR. THE REQUIREMEMT IS SET ASIDE FOR THE SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES. The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools and supervision. Work shall include, but is not limited to: selective demolition, replacement of existing acoustical ceiling, removal of existing floor finishes, replacement of floor tiles, installation of acoustical ceiling grid system and tiles, construction of gypsum board partitions to create new meeting room spaces, installation of folding partitions conference room division wall, installation of ceiling mounted retractable electrical projector bases, replacement of existing doors and installation of new hardware, restoration of existing doors and hardware, relocation of existing utility furnishings as required to accommodate work, installation of new lighting fixtures, relocation of fire protection utilities to accommodate the works, surface preparation and painting of walls, installation of new air-conditioning system air handling unit machinery, ductwork, and related appurtenances, all mechanical work required in connection with the improvements described above, all electrical work required in connection with the improvements described above, repairs to adjacent room acoustical ceiling and floor areas disturbed during, and as result of construction, and to return them to a ?match to existing state?. The magnitude of this project is estimated between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction) and the size standard is $31.0 million. Performance and payment bonds will be required following award pursuant to the Miller Act. All responsible Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. The required construction completion date is 165 calendar days commencing one day after the notice to proceed. The solicitation number is GS-02P-06-PI-C-0025. The anticipated solicitation release date is April 12, 2006. This solicitation incorporates documents, which are not available electronically on the Government wide Point of Entry (GPE). The solicitation, amendments to the solicitation, specifications and drawings will be available through a secured Internet site. Interested parties shall send all requests to access the secured Internet site and requests for the solicitation to the attention of Rubin F. Padilla at the e-mail or mailing addresses shown in this pre-solicitation notice. Contractors are requested to provide a street address, telephone number, business license or other documentation granted by the state or local jurisdiction to conduct business, valid DUNS number, valid IRS Tax ID Number and e-mail address. Contractors will also be required to sign a Document Security Notice. Once the request for the solicitation has been accepted, an e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address provided. The e-mail will provide instructions for entry into the secured Internet site and access to the solicitation. Contractors should request e-mail notification from FedBizOpps in order to remain apprised of solicitation. Telephone or facsimile requests will not be accepted for this solicitation.
