- Description
- This presolicitation notice for commercial items is prepared in accordance with FAR Part 15. Soliciation N62306-06-R-7015 is issued as a Request for Proposals. This is a full and open procurement under NAICS 7644 DIGITAL Maps, Charts, and Geodetic products. The requirement is in accordance with Government specifications which describe the requirement for the contractor to deliver the digital products and hard copies of geophysical and oceanographic data on discrete sites of the ocean floor. The contractor shall provide an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) capable of subsurface missions up to 50 contiguous hours, operating in ocean depths from 250 meters to a maximum depth of 3,000 meters. The AUV will have the minimum capability to simultaneously collect multibeam bathymetry, sidescan sonar, and sub-bottom profiler data, providing real-time data feedback from all survey sensors of the seafloor. The contract will be a Firm-Fixed-Price Requirements contract for a period of five years. All responsible sources may submit a proposal and all proposals received by the closing date specified within the solicitation shall be considered by the agency. The solicitation is expected to post on the NECO website (http://www.neco.navy.mil/index.cfm) on 11 April 2006. To be considered, the proposal must meet the agency?s requirements as described in the specifications and must be accompanied with any additional information as requested.
