- INVITATION FOR BID FOR A REQUIREMENTS CONTRACT FOR THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, NASHVILLE DISTRICT FOR PAVING AT VARIOUS RECREATION AREAS LOCATED IN LAKE BARKLEY TO INCLUDE LIVINGSTON, LYONS, AND TRIGG COUNTIES IN KENTUCKY. The Corps of Engineers (COE), Nashville District, Nashville, TN intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to Small Business set-aside under NAICS code 237310 Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction. The small business size standard for this requiremen t is $28.5 million. The estimated value of the contract is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The duration of the contract is five (5) years (Base + 4 option years). The contractor will be required to furnish all equipment, labor, and materials required to pave, resurface, repair base failures and /or reshape and compact existing roads and parking areas at various recreation areas on Lake Barkley, Kentucky. The solicitation including plans and specifications will be available electronically through this web site @ http://www.fedbizopps.gov. All amendments will be issued through the same site. Posting of Solicitation will be approximately 15-April 2006. Interested firms must be registered in the Central Contract Register to be awarded a Government Contrac t. All pertinent information will be posted on the web site. E-mail notification will be sent upon issuance of any amendments to all registered firms. Since e-mail notification may not be reliable based on system constraints, it is recommended that each registered firm check the website daily for updates. Hard copies of the amendments will not be mailed. Telephone requests or e-mails from the purchasing agent for amendments will not be issued. The exact date of bid opening will be announced in the sol icitation.
